This divine lapiz lazuli crystal talisman has been handcrafted by us here at Platypus Dreaming in the luscious rainforests of Far North Queensland, Australia. It has been hand-set in 925 sterling silver. The stone has a magnificent polish and vibrant sheen. This lapiz also has pyrite inside which gives off the beautiful gold looking colour. The vibrant lapiz has been ethically sourced from a small family business in Afghanistan – which we sourced years ago while travelling. This talisman features a 1000 pure silver tribal bead that has been hand-cut and chiseled using traditional techniques.
Lapis Lazuli is one of the most sought after stones in use since man's history began. Its deep, celestial blue remains the symbol of royalty and honor, gods and power, spirit and vision. It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth. The golden sarcophagus of King Tutankhamen was richly inlaid with Lapis, as were other burial ornaments of Egyptian kings and queens. It was used extensively in scarabs, pendants and other jewelry, and ground into powder for dyes, eye shadow and medicinal elixirs. In the dry, barren land of the Egyptians, this deep cobalt blue color was a spiritual contrast to their arid desert hues.
Our items are created and designed in Australia in alignment with the healing frequency of the oldest rainforest on Earth.
Each necklace is handmade using the highest quality waxed cords for ultimate strength and durability. They are ideal for daily wear for active people. It has been handwoven using an ancient knot technique and is 100% vegan.
It can be adjusted to your desired length with our sturdy slide-knot clasp system. It fits both men and women.
