Shipping Information

Items generally ship within 1-3 business days and generally take 2-7 business days in transit for domestic, and 8-20 business days for international. Custom creations may take longer. No. Our packaging process begins almost immediately after your order has been placed so it is not possible to change or cancel your order.

We ship our items securely with the intention that they will arrive safely. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items – so please upgrade to postal insurance if concerned. For more information, please refer to our shipping policy here.

Our items are captured using a Micro lens under natural sunlight, at different times of the day. We attempt to represent colours as accurately as possible, but due to different lighting conditions and computer screen settings some variations may occur.

Using your talisman

Yes! Our talismans are designed for active daily use. We use the highest quality materials on Earth. They can be worn in the shower, or when swimming – and the colours will not fade. We have been carrying the same pieces for 5+ years – and they still look great. In case you do desire a new cord at any point in your journey, please enquire with us – we are offering new cords as a free community service. Our creations are handcrafted using the highest quality waxed strings on earth. They are designed to be long lasting and with the right care, they will maintain their original shape and colour for years to come. Platypus Dreaming talismans are water resistant and feel very organic when worn against the skin. They are designed for daily use & can be worn in the shower or when swimming. All stones have different hardness levels so please be gentle and treat them with the right level of care. They are strong but if you bang, knock or drop on hard surface they can break. Each piece is designed with longevity in mind. We only use silver and/or stainless-steel beads which will never rust or loose colour.

Talismans made from wood need extra care because they’re made from organic materials that can be impacted negatively by the environment. They require an extra level of gentleness that our crystal talismans do not. They have been constructed to last and will not crack, dent or scratch at the slightest touch. At the same time, you should take care when wearing them on a daily basis. Wood talismans are water resistant, not waterproof! They have a thick coating to protect them, yet they’re still made of an organic material that will soak up water when immersed for too long. Please take off when you have a shower and swimming and during heavy work and sport activities.

We recommend a gentle rinse under fresh water – preferably rain or river water. Moonlight also works beautifully, as does smoke, i.e. sage, or Palo Santo. You can also use other crystals to energetically clear your talisman, such as an amethyst cluster. Some crystal talismans benefit from being cleaned regularly as they are carriers of energy. Others, such as moldavite, are independent beings and do not need cleansing.

Breathe, and take a moment to check in with yourself. This often symbolises that the talismans journey is complete. Do send us a photo and we will offer you some insight into whether the piece can be repaired. Sometimes we may be able to polish the stone again, if the chip or damage is minor. Our guarantee does not cover defects relating to general wear and tear, scratching, damage caused by accidents, neglect or misuse, or any resulting loss of the item or precious stones from the item & we hold the right to decide. Items that are covered by the guarantee will be shipped and repaired free of charge (no refund or replacement). Items not covered will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
